Inaugurating a series of changes and expansions, this edition of the festival became a watershed in VB’s trajectory, which definitively established itself as an electronic art event. In addition to the main exhibition, the event featured retrospectives by the North American Bill Viola and the Italian Gianni Toti, two of the most important names in the electronic scene. The bilingual catalog includes material about the participating works, curatorial texts and essays on Viola (USA), Totti (Italy), Jean Paul Fargier (France) and Moysés Baumstein (Brazil).
