More than thirty artists discuss the impact of their experiences in artistic residencies. Awarded in editions of Videobrasil, they show how, since the late 1980s, in a context in which mobility is inseparable from artistic practices, the role of these programs has become crucial. Based on accounts, photographs and transcriptions of conversations, the publication highlights Videobrasil's pioneering role in promoting national and international artistic residencies for the winners of the Festival/Biennial's competitive exhibitions since its 6th edition.
