Caderno 10 features essays and artistic propositions by collaborators who address archives, memory and history in attempts to expand, problematize or attribute new meanings to hegemonic historical representations. Presented here are artists and researchers from African countries, or from the diaspora, who reflect on archives as a topic of art and on its relationship with the construction or revival of memory, focusing on the context of decolonization in Africa between the 1950s and 1970s.
