The second volume of the Caderno Sesc_Videobrasil discusses the challenges posed to art by the intensification of urbanization, increased access to new technologies and the constant redesign of political-economic-cultural maps. Anticipating the Thought axis of the 16th Festival, the publication addresses the relationship between art and sustainability and the use that artistic practices make of the mobility typical of our current times. Among the essays included in the publication, the researcher Grant H. Kester examines the collaboration of art with social and political subcultures; and the researcher Hans Dieleman shows that, although not always recognized, sustainability has been present in artistic practices for decades.
