Videobrasil at the Tijuana’s Print Art Fair
Videobrasil is taking part in the 6th edition of the Tijuana’s Print Art Fair, due on August 23 and 24 at Casa do Povo, in São Paulo.
Publications released by Videobrasil in partnership with Edições Sesc SP will be available, such as: Caderno Sesc_Videobrasil, an annual magazine featuring experimental curating proposals in print medium, with editions created by curators of the likes of Moacir do Anjos, Rodrigo Moura and Lisette Lagnado, among others; books about artists (including Joseph Beuys – We are the revolution, Olafur Eliasson | Your body of work, and Isaac Julien: Geopoetics); Contemporary Art Festival catalogues; and theory books containing more in-depth essays, but with a light editorial approach – the series opened with Ana Pato’s Expanded Literature, on the work of Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster.
Inaugurated in 2007, Tijuana was born as an initiative from Galeria Vermelho to create an exhibition venue that could host artworks whose formats were incompatible with traditional exhibition spaces, especially artist’s books. In its 6th edition, the event will feature publishers that issue artist’s books and special editions. The organization’s own artist’s books, released under the Edições Tijuana label, will also be available.
