Associação Cultural Videobrasil

Created in 2005 by Galeria Vermelho, VERBO is currently in its 10^th edition, featuring actions by artists of various nationalities and the 3^rd edition of seminar VERBO Conjugated. Mediated by the exhibition’s art director Marcos Gallon, VERBO Conjugated is divided into four meetings and will address issues pertaining to the documentation and recording of performance actions using photos, videos, music scores and propositions.

As a guest for the panel on Curating performance, the general curator and director of Associação Cultural Videobrasil, Solange Farkas, alongside Agnès Violeau, curator of the show Des Choses los Moins, des Choses en Plus - Les Collections Imaterielles du CNAP, recently featured at Palais de Tokyo (Paris), and the artist Maurício Ianês, will discuss issues ranging from the specificities of concept-building in the curating realm to the presentation of performance actions.

Presented in the latest edition of the Contemporary Art Festival Sesc_Videobrasil, the performance Cão, by the collective composed of Dora Longo Bahia, Ricardo Carioba, Maurício Ianês and Bruno Palazzo, will wrap up the 10^th edition of VERBO.
