Opportunities for artists, curators and researches

Sound Art Incubator is the new project of the Zagreb, Croatia-based Mochvara – an initiative which combines art and parties at galleries and clubs. The project is accepting entries until October 1st and aims to encourage young, inexperienced local artists, promote new artistic creations, introduce audiences to new productions, and prompt artists to reflect on collaborative processes. Project Embeded is a Lithuanian event dedicated to rediscovering nature in urban spaces, an initiative of German director Rolf Dennemann, ARTSCENICO, and GRYNPARKAS. Proposals for live installations, performances, and interactive artwork will be accepted until October 3. The 20 works selected will be produced at different facilities in downtown Kaunas city and Nemunas Island in May 2013. Learn more about it at Grynparkas.

October 1 is the deadline for submissions of contemporary digital artwork, in languages such as film, performance, video and new media, to the 5th namaTRE.ba Biennial in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The program focuses on independent productions. Find out more at namaTRE.ba.

Paço das Artes Project Season will have its 11th edition in 2013 and is accepting proposals for curated programs and artworks up until October 6. Throughout the year, nine solo shows and one curated programme will be presented in a collective venue. Project Season targets start-up artists, each of whom may submit up to three previously unseen works developed especially for the program, in any artistic language or format. Program Arquetopia Dual Cultural Exchange Artist Residency - Puebla & Oaxaca, Mexico - 2013, is accepting entries for art residencies up until October 28th. Arquetopia Dual sets out to promote interaction between national and foreign artists, sponsoring the wealth and diversity of artistic heritage, especially from the cities of Puebla and Oaxaca.
