Elaborated as reflection and protest against the genocide of the black youth, the works hang from the walls of Galpão VB to allude both to the invisibility and the silencing of this violence, and to the fact that it adheres to the structures of everyday life. Localizador QBAFECCLQF consists in a sign with the sentence “que bocas alimentam fé em consumir corpos que levam fumo?” [whose mouths feed the faith in consuming bodies that carry dope?”], a reference to both the bocas de fumo [drug-dealing spots] and the mouths of politicians, preachers, and members of the government who defend, consent with and disseminate hate speech and the breaking of civil rights. 111 cale-se is a vinyl sticker on wall that bears the sentence “sangrou o destino 111 cale-se” [has bled the fate 111 shut up]. The work departs from a reflection about the death of Jozelita de Souza that resulted from the sadness for the loss of her son Betinho, one of the five young people assassinated with 111 shots by Rio de Janeiro’s military police in 2015.
