Using television fragments produced between 1980 and 2000, the artistic duo Doplgenger delves into the memories of the dissolution of socialist Yugoslavia and the ethnic conflicts in the region, at a crucial time for the post-Cold War political balance.
The original sequences are cut from the media flow of his time and lengthened, in slow motion, or alternated, on the editing station, in syncopated montage. Each fragment is shown on a monitor, creating a space where the documentation of historical events is related to the ephemerality of the entertainment industry.
