An initiative of the Ostrovsky Fund Family, the Brazilian Film and Video Preservation Project (BFVPP) aims to recover and give visibility to video works produced by women artists between 1960 and 1984.  Through a partnership with Associação Cultural Videobrasil, some of these works will be accessible to researchers, artists and the general public in Brazil.

The project began with the Anna Bella Geiger Dossier. The Brazilian artist had ten of her audiovisual works restored and digitized, respecting the standards of the original work. Find out more here.

The launch of the dossier was marked by a conversation between Anna Bella and American filmmaker and curator Vivian Ostrovsky during the opening week of the 22nd Biennial Sesc_Videobrasil.
