More than a simple physical element, the sea that separates us from Africa is also a guardian of history and a connecting link between the two continents. The Atlantic, a slave trade route that forcibly brought millions of Africans to the Americas, was the starting point for the curatorship of the Pan-African Contemporary Art Exhibition, which proposed a dialogue and an exchange between Brazil and the production of African countries and of Afro-descendants.
