The artist talk about her work Ajeeb Aashiq which was awarded with a residency at the Wexner Center of the Arts at the 20th Contemporary Art Festival Sesc_Videobrasil. The video takes place in India and follows the daily life of a cis woman and a trans man and the gender relations that cross it. The artist states that “I’m genderqueer, I identify as trans myself. And I think that on some level, there isn’t that much of a difference between feminism and transfeminism. It’s actually about gender that we are talking about, and the binaries.”
