On the second day of the Festival, Videojornal featured a statement from Walter Avancini on the relationship between the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. Other guest artists of the 8th edition also gave their contributions to the debate, including Australia’s Jill Scott (jury member). The role of television was discussed by Guel Arraes, Mauricio Kubrusly, Fernando Barbosa Lima and Eder Santos. The section "o que é vídeo?" (what is video?) featured comments from Germany’s Benjamin Heidersberger on the electronic conception of video.
