On the Festival’s 5th day, Videojornal opened with the video installation O Caminho das vertigens, by Sandra Kogut. The program featured impressions from the general public, including the writer Marcelo Rubens Paiva, and statements form producers, including Rogerio Brandão (TV Gazeta). Ricardo Nauenberg (TV Globo) interviewed Rod Stoneman (Channel 4), who discussed the potential for exchange with the country. In “sessão polêmica” (controversy session), Roberto Berliner asked questions like “why is video important for TV?” Videojornal’s “sessão recado” (give your message) segment featured scholarship grants from The Academia de Vídeo and the inauguration of CCBB in Rio de Janeiro, including a space dedicated to film and video. The “sessão extraordinária” (extraordinary session) segment featured the new competitive show prize, including a scholarship grant in France, and the setting up of a video wall for the closing and award ceremony. Guto Lacaz presented the trophy he designed for this edition.
