A stop motion animation made with earth, plants, and food (grains, bread, salt), this work retells the fable in which a hyena accuses an ass of dirtying the river water as it drank, even though the hyena is drinking further upstream. Africa, the artist’s continent of birth, hunger, childhood, and a relationship with nature that dispenses with all intermediaries are some of the images and themes that emerge from this work.
