The performance recreates the structure of a piece by Korean artist Nam June Paik, father of video art, fusing music and live images. Violinist Steina Vasulka commands a disc-player with the strings of her instrument. Both Steina and Vitiello lived Paik’s work intimately: she is one of the founders of New York electronic theatre The Kitchen; he was Paik’s assistant.
