Rafael França, born in Rio Grande do Sul, had a brief and unique career (1957-1991). In his work, he chose to keep a distance from the most ordinary forms of art, using new supports and creative processes of image-movement in conceptual art in order to elaborate the relationship word-image, the body and interpersonal relationships. Living in Chicago since 1982, he workeds with video and computer, creating installations and videowalls.
