Statement Ricardo Suarez Pareyon Aveleyra, 2003
In my works the body is under a constant displacement. In a constant search. The mind sometimes displaces obligating the body to make it. The external agents force the mind and the body to be under a constant displacement. My work "San Wencesla" is compound of three stories. The first one, María, is closely related with the concept of the body under displacement. In this story the main character, moved by feelings of sadness and melancholy, is in a constant displacement, looking around, in a search with tragic consequences. In the second story, Filipi is the main character. He is a person with obsessed attitudes and he uses external agents to displace his mind. Their body remains static with obsessive attitudes. The third story is based on the relationships between the machine and the human. In this, Martin uses a machine to try to displace his mind and to be related with Tristana. She is attractive and he is attracted. In certain way Martin tries to displace his body using a machine to be able to stay with Tristana.
